05 4.7L V8 4WD 80K, slacked on maintenance

Hey guys, Ive done a bunch of reading but had a few questions I wanted to ask. Like the title says I have a 2005 4.7L V8 4WD and im about to hit 80K miles.

I bought the vehicle at 45K and have stayed up on the motor oil, tire rotation, air filter, but havent done any other maintenance, so this weekend Im going to take care of everything that should have been taken care of.

diffs and transfer case, my question is, I dont have to do anything special to switch over to synthetic, I just drain and fill? I was just going to use amsoil 75w90 for all 3. Ive read a bunch of different numbers tho, is this correct?

Ive done some towing so I want to change the transmission fluid as well, how can I tell if I have the sealed case or not? And if I do, should I just let the dealer take care of the flush, or go ahead and do it myself (ive looked over the threads in the sticky, but still not sure if its worth it or not to just take it to the dealer)

I've read so many conflicting statements on the plugs, Im going to assume that the V8 doesnt need to be changed until 120K tho, cuz that seems what ive read a slight majority of the time. If someone knows for sure this isnt the case, please correct me.

When should I tackle the brakes and rotors? Im sure its still the factory setup, theres no squealing but im starting to notice some shuddering.

Im also going to change the cabin air filter, and grease/retorque all the appropriate driveshaft components.

Is there anything else I should do?

That is what I used except I used the Mobil 1 version.... Just drain and fill...

2005 will have a sealed tranny.... If you've looked over the threads you pretty much know what will be involved.... I would do it myself but if you are not comfortable, taking it to a dealer is always an option....

At 80K it can't hurt to go ahead and change the plugs.... IIRC they are part of the 90K service and are pretty easy to do.... I would recommend the Iridium....

As they always say, it depends.... As a minimum I would do pads.... Check to see how they are wearing (hopefully evenly) and while they are out check your caliper pistons to see if any are siezed.... You only need to replace them if they are a problem... Rotor should still be good unless it is showing signs of excessive wear (grooves etc)....

I would run a can of seafoam and clean the MAF/Throttle body.... You're coming up on your 90K service timing belt/water pump so would hold off on coolant since that will need to be changed when the service is done... Other than that, can't think of anything else that I would recommend....
