Tell me about it. I've got two dealers quoting me a delivery date of Dec 12th for a Limited V8 270HP 4Runner. I guess whoever said January was off the mark a little bit.

It's nice to see the people at Toyota are not a bunch of dummies and let a buying opportunity go buy for those interested in an extra tax deduction before the end of the year.

Kind of renews my faith in auto manufacturers.

I have ordered one of 3 supposed 05v84x4 Titanium SE in the network of "South-east toyota", with a quoted delivery date of pre 12/31.

I picked up my 05 Sport V8 4x4 on Dec 16th...at the time, it was THE ONLY one of 1068 4Runners available in the southeast that was a Titanium Metallic sport v8

btw, I paid $32 before taxes for mine...had 3 miles on it....leather, sunroof, drl, dd cargo, 10spk jbl surround sound system...

I love it....V8 is very strong and smooth.

in case anyone in SoCal is interested, I saw a V8 4R w/a chrome grille the other day while driving by a parking lot (Montclair). I'm assuming it is a '05 V8 SR5 since the '05 SR5s comes w/chrome grilles.
