06-09 CBI Front Bumper work on 03-05?

I believe the only difference is it won't have the turn signal lights since the 06-09 have it integrated into the headlamp housing. I don't believe Fitment will be a problem at all though. Anyone else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Biggest changes between 03-05 and 06-09 are the turn signals and the grille. you will have a gap below the grille if you use an 06-09 bumper (easily remedied by an 06-09 grille)
I believe the 06-09 fender flares stick out slightly more, so the bumper may also stick out slightly more on an 03-05
As far as physical mounting points, pretty sure they are the same but can't actually confirm. I do know there are some bumpers that are advertised as direct fit 03-09 so I assume nothing major

I would not purchase it unless you want ugly huge gaps everywhere. Sure you can attach it to the frame but it will be ugly with the gaps.
I recently purchased sliders for my 09 4runner. You would think sliders would be an easy buy and install. Nope! The sliders I purchased were developed on a 2004 4runner with the different molding. Once I bolted the sliders up I could not open my rear door! I shipped back to sliders and got my money back.
Save yourself the headache and by the correct bumper..

Besides the grille, what other gaps? Curious as I was about to buy a 03-09 DIY bumper.

The size of the fender and bottom door moulings are very different between the 2003-2005 and 2006-2009 years. So much different that I couldn't even open my rear door because the rear bump out was hiding my sliders.
There is a reason why cbi has two different bumpers for the 4th gen. If there wasn't any difference than there would only be one bumper available.

I'm sure that if you swapped your front headlights and grille to those off an 06-09 you'd be able to make it work. I don't believe the mounting points changed and the only difference CBI did between the 2 bumpers is turn signals or no turn signals. If it hasn't sold yet maybe you should call up CBI themselves and get a few answers. I'm sure they could help you out
