06 4runner hitch install

anybody has the install procedure for the OEM hitch from toyota? I just got one today, but it does not come with any procedures. things that confueses me is that there are 4 loose plates, 2 seemed to fit on the side rails and the other 2 loose plates fits the top of the receiver, not sure how to install all these parts together. there is also another piece which looks like a cover for the bumper cutout, but my rear bumper does not have that cutout since it came out without the tow hitch package. please share your hitch install procedure and if you have pics of your install it would really help. thanks.

Your parts department could/should have printed the instructions for you.

I have another question. The hitch kit did not come with the center support bracket, the stealership said that it have to be ordered and it is only for V8s, mine is a V6 SE without the rear bumper cutout. Do I need this center support bracket? How heavy could I tow without the center bracket? If I need to install the center bracket, whats the best way to cut my rear bumper???

I am in the same boat. I have a center receiver from ebay but no instructions or hardware.
Can the receiver be bolted on to the center rail by itself? Will have to get the metric bolts locally. Hope I dont need the top plates you have!

Yes, it can be bolted directly under the center rail atleast mine does, you should see screw holes on it. you would also need metric bolts, I got mine at the dealership because all we could find in the local stores are english size bolts.
