06 Replacement Windshield

UGH, driving the other day and took a rock to te windshield that created a star, then shortly afterwards started cracking all the way across. Only 2600 miles, just my luck.

I know the 06 windshields are thicker than previous models, anyone have any info about getting a replacement?

Would love to hear an answer since the identical thing happened to our '05 the other day! The rock created a star but we continued on our way for another ten miles or so without further ado. Parked the truck and when we got back in several hours later there was a line starting across the windshield. I have had several replacement windshields over the years and it has always been my observation that the replacements seem to be of cheaper quality than the original--they seem to crack alot easier and alot sooner. Don't have any proof of that, it just seems that way to me.

Call up your insuarance company and see if they offer a $0 deductible replacement. State Farm financed Safelite in replacing my glass with Toyota OEM glass. $0 out of pocket costs for me.
