06' Tailgate Multiplex Network Module 89222-35010 Problems

OK, so I have a weird problem.
On my 06 SR5 V8, the rear wiper, defogger and the tailgate window motor all stopped working.
I replaced the Multiplex Network Module 89222-35010 this past weekend and everything was working fine again. Tailgate window rolled down, wiper worked. All was good.
Yesterday, it all stopped working again.

Anyone had similar problem? What should I be looking at next? The window motor is fine. Tested it, and it works. I assume something is blowing the module, but don't know where to go from here...

a weak battery can cause the same issue, i dont think the ecu need to be changed out unless you know its bad.

Just put a brand new battery in a couple weeks ago.

You likely have a short somewhere in the tailgate.
No easy way to do this, start pulling stuff apart and check visually.

I just helped a friend work on his Porsche Cayenne, same problem, all tailgate functions kept frying. It turned out to be a broken wiring harness inside the gate.

If there was tailgate work done in the past and the wiring harnesses weren't clipped back securely they may get rubbed by some moving parts, eventually creating a short.
