So I went to pick up my 4R from sitting for 14 days and the check engine light went on. Unfortunately I was on my way home so I stopped into the stealership to see if they could figure it out. After an hour of me waiting around, I was told that there were 7 error messages coming up and that I needed a new tranny to the tune of $4250. The only thing that they could tell me was that all of the solenoids inside were shot.
I opted to drive it the remainder of the way home and take it to my local mechanic. He took off the wiring harness and found some corrosion on half of the plugs as well as 2 of the pins broken off. All of the dash lights are on like a xmas tree and the check engine light remains on.
Does anyone else have experience with this problem?
I think my baby found out that I just bought a newer model and is retaliating.
