Put my new Hidden Hitch on, now it appears there is not enough wiring to install 7 pin on hitch, I took the factory hold down off the frame, do I need to remove the other one also ? I don't want to make a mistake on this as this is my family transportation. Many thanks, Auburtin

If I remember right, I used the same factory setup. I do believe there is a fold over metal piece holding the harness under there. Just had to bend it, to give you some slack and see if you have enough to relocate.

Thanks for the help !

I took the harness hold down near the factory receptacle lose from the frame, but there is another one up from it that I have not taken lose, question is if I take it lose will I have enough slack to reach the hitch ? I'm just trying to do it right the first time. The hitch really installed well, no trimming of the bumper panel at all. Thanks for responding, Auburtin

I installed a curt hitch on mine, and I have to use an extension piece since I didn't have enough slack to relocate it closer to hitch.

Like mentioned, I had to bend mine also so the plug was accessible to the extension.

I one had to do the hold down clamp I spoke of earlier to get mine to mount, and after mounted, was able to reclamp.

Just look where the harness is and see if you can detatch any hold downs to give yo enough and re attach the wire clamps. If not enough, get an extension instead of rewiring is my suggestion.

I had to relocate mine another time as I hit it on some rocks and was going to break it totally. Had to undo the clamps to do this and re clamp.

Wiring ext. for trailer lights

Called Hidden Hitch this morning, their response was if the harness was to short they make wiring extension, but just wanted to thank everyone for the help, it sure made me feel a lot better that I was not the only one that had this problem.
