I've poured over threads for 5 days, haven't quite seen this.
Not "super" up on the Toyota 4x4 stuff. I'm down with the GM/Ford/Dodge etc Fixed many. But, this is a bit different. So, need to ask.
07 Sport v6. 90k. I test 4H and 4L every month, always fine. This month Green and Orange are flashing and 4H is not engaging. Oddly, I hear the servo motors run in the diff and Xfer case. But, green and orange are flashing once 4H is initiated, and only stop flashing when the 2H is re-engaged and the key is cycled off and back on, and stays off then till I try to engage etc. Rinse repeat.
If I start the truck while the 4H switch is engaged, they still flash, and additionally the "VSC" light is now on, and lit solid
It does seem to be engaging "something" as it feels different when it's engaged. Sluggish maybe. Tried the misc tricks. Not working.
Sound like maybe a sensor not registering something? Thoughts / opinions?
