09's have two power outlets up front

Toyota waited till the last year of the 4th gen to put two 12V power outlets up front.

I wonder how hard this mod would be to have my 06 with the same setup. Probably the wiring loom is different.

The third gen had two 12V power outlets up front. It is strange that they did not coninue this with the 4th gen back in 2003 instead of waiting until 2009.

It would be interesting to see if this is a trend. If the 2010 model only has a single 12V power outlet up front than I would think Toyota's design decisions are very calculated down to the most minor details

Dont know for sure obviously, but it looks like plug and play to me. The 2009 two 12V setup looks like it replaces the little bin next to the shifter and under there the 2003-2008's are already pre-wired for the cigarette lighter option.

When performing this mod, you will need to legthen the wires for and relocate your rear window switch to this location as it is now on this part as well.

I like the two 12V set up as well, but after thinking about it I also like the little bin to hold extra change and sometimes the cell phone.

I like those seats , must be the spot package since they usually have a dark int.

No, that is the trail edition with the new water resistant fabric.

Unless I'm mistaken, isn't a second 12V option available with the accessory ashtray? Would that be a lot cheaper and easier than getting parts from the '09 Trail Edition?

I think he meant to say "put" instead of "our" in his sentence. What he means to say probably without that extra storage bin where would he put his cigarettes

LOL , exactly .... thanks for clearing that up for me .

It was a little late and was brain fading ( as always )

(That was a joke, please don't ban me.)

No worries, Falls is working multiple jobs... as my running mate and campaign manager, and moderating this excellent forum. Falls is a machine, I'll return some time back to Falls after November, so he can get some well deserved rest and vacation time. I promise. :)
