1" Cornfed spacers

Had some 1" Cornfed spacers installed the past weekend so the the tires would clear the fender. The 265x75x16's should be fine stock, but for some reason mine rubbed a bit. Stock suspension is still on, someday I'll be able to afford a full setup. Just posting this in case anyone wanted to see how it looks.

i also had to put on a spacer when i received my '03-'04 rims on my '97 4runner. it looks great. just wanted to keep the Toyota style rather than getting other types of rims.
 
If your 2000 was made late in the model year it came with the 1" shorter springs since your truck's stance looks just like mine with a my just installed OEM stock suspension. All '99 and most of the 2000 model year Runners got springs with one more wind in the coils so even bumping up to a true '99 coil would give you another inch of lift.
My 265/75s aren't even close to rubbing.

I thought the same exact thing after looking at that pic again, and it is the pic. I went outside to double check myself since it didn't look right. If I have time I'll post one at a different angle. It's sitting on a hill too.

Actually, I have an early build 00, March and my coils are the shorter ones also...
 
i was wondering about lifting my 02 sport edition 4runner an inch or two. did any or all of the 02's come with shorter springs? i HAD 265/75/16 tires on it when i purchased it used over the summer and i dont think they rubbed. however, i just installed some new bridgestone revos, in 265/70/16 size.

would older springs give me a 1" lift or do you think my truck already has the taller stock springs. here is an old pic from a few months ago with the 265/75/16 cheapo Widetrack Baja tires that came on them when i bought the truck.

what do you guys think? do i have the taller or shorter stock springs?

The only Runners that have the taller coils are the '99s and some of the '00s but I'm not sure which month of the manufacturing date they switched to the shorter ones.

Ordering the '99 coils is the easiest and affordable way to get 1" of lift and you don't compromise your stock ride.
 
I've got a set of stock coils off my '99 Highlander that I just took off to install my Cornfed front lift and OME rear....not positive that I'll sell them yet but if you are interested let me know and I'll put you at the top of the list when the time comes.

yes at the end of every lift, its a good idea to get alignment and balance checked and corrected.

my springs threw the alignment way off.
 
No, actually Grimpy i read the whole thread and i went to that website and they don't have any pics of the actual spacers besides the homepage which you cant enlarge.
 
Nixin, I think I may have taken some pics before I had them installed, but not really sure. At any rate I can get some shots of them in the suspension, probably not what you're looking for, but it's something.

One more thing....on my 97' 4runner, if I put 2" coil spacers in the front, can I fit 31x11.5" tires? Also, will they fit on a 15x8" rim?
