1 Year Oil Change

I don't put many miles on mine, right at 5k last year (managed to keep it just under so I could skip emissions inspection).

I use Purolator 1 filters, and Castrol synth. It's been, um, more than a year.

I'm going to send it off for analysis, changing it tomorrow. Last time I sent it off at 5k the test came back near perfect. It wasn't even black, still looked the same as when I put it in.

Not sure what diameter hose would be the right fit, but yes, a hose could easily be attached.

Or, if you're just trying to minimize splashing, do something like cut the flaps off a cardboard box, or the top and bottom off a milk container, then set that on top of drip pan opening directly under valve. When flip switch to release oil, will then act as splash guard until fully drained. Then just toss in trash.

Ha! I was just thinking the same thing! That would be SO easy to change the oil. Hook up hose, open valve, close valve, done. No mess.

There's really no need to use a hose with those valves.
The oil doesn't gush out like it does when you remove the drain plug.
