'10 Trail vs '17 Pro

I know you have already made the decision to keep your '10, but I want to help everyone else hammer the point home. KEEP IT!!!! Love my '13 TE. If there are any "rare" T4R's, I would say the '10-'13 TE would be it. I see far more TRDP's on the road than '10-'13 TE's. Plus, I agree with everyone else here, the TRDP's are a waste of money since you are paying a lot for items you will probably swap out anyway.
I was at the stealership today and saw a TRDP on the lot. I had to laugh at the $44k price tag. No thanks.

'14+ TE and TRD Pros are dime a dozen. EVERYWHERE. Hardly ever see a 10-13 TE, much more uncommon compared to TRD Pros.

She's gonna be a keeper
Overwhelmed by the 100% guidance to keep my special TE. Thanks everyone. Many memories in this vehicle especially of my dog who passed away Saturday. I will keep TE at minimum to honor her and the wonderful experiences we shared together. And it makes a great backdrop for photoshoots too

Keep the '10 TRAIL
Keep the Trail Edition. Spend the money on the upgrade. Heated seats can be obtained from Rostra Precision Controls and they are everything you need to include the OEM switch for the center console. This company supplies some US distributors. ALSO they don't make anything like they used to. Besides your '10 is just a baby. I have 103000 on my '12 Trail.

I have a '12 TE and was thinking of trading it for a TRDP. After a test drive decided the TRDP wasn't enough of an improvement or much of a change from what I was driving to be worth the additional money. Not to mention 61k miles is just breaking in your truck after all...

Prepare yourself but on the otherhand there's nothing to prepare you for the loss. If your doggy is as close as mine was to me, it was devastating to lose her. But honor the pup in whatever way you can. Mine is to keep my TE amongst many other ways.
Oh and yes I'm a pure Ducatista at heart. Pure addiction that is

What a beautiful dog.... The greatest 6 months of my life were spent cruising in my 3rd generation with my dog Jake. I adopted him from a shelter after he was abused, so he had some pretty bad anxiety. Each night we would take a ride around town with the windows down, and his anxiety would just melt away. Unfortunately, we lost him a few years back too. Hearing about your loss brought back a lot of emotions, but also a lot of positive memories. It's amazing how many memories we develop in these vehicles. Thanks for helping me remember some of mine today.

Sorry to hear you lost your friend. Very nice truck and your making the right decision by keeping her. It's funny I switched from a Tacoma to a used TRDP about two months ago and have not looked back, the difference in build quality is quite obvious. Plus I got an outrageous deal on the pro.

Then you posted the doggo pictures..... Completely understand, Some of the best memories I ever have are of my Golden Retriever and me just jumping in my old truck, driving around for hours and hiking random spots exploring. She's almost 17 now, been hit by cars, mostly blind and deaf, and she's still the same old couple month old puppy I remember just moves a bit slower these days....

I am considering doing so. Shrockworks sliders look promising to me. I still want a step but something a little more rock slider looking. I don't get crazy offroad such that I'm bumping the underside but I do like the look.

BTW...after the overwhelming response yesterday to keep my TE, I received the Toyota Dealers counter offer for trading for Pro. I'd worked up some numbers trading in my TE and a '14 Mini Cooper S w just about no miles on it. With my trades and consider some credit for all my mods both TE and Mini, I figured a fair deal was a delta of about 8-10K. I wasn't gonna give them my mods for free, especially since many of them were newish. Anyway, after waiting several days for their answer, giving me time to reflect and ask you guys, their offer came back a delta of 18.5K!!! Yikes..They want my vehicles for minimal trade or less. So I told them HELL NO!!! Glad I'm keeping the TE for many reasons now
