100,000 mile Tune up

When you 3.4 guys do personal tune ups what are the parts and fluid you use and replace/ check on.

My parents have always taken there vehicles into the dealer to have there's done so I have never done anything related to this. It would be nice to know how and what to use. since my trucks not getting driven for a couple months I figured it would be good to do this now.

I heard it was bad to put full synthetic oil in your rear end is that true and why?

At 100K pretty much everything should be flushed and replaced fluid wise.
Engine oil/trans/t-case/diffs/coolant/brakes/power steering /tire air/blinker fluid ...

Tune up is a general term the dealers tell you to make more money off you.

Other things that could be included in a tuneup are plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, cabin air filter, fuel filter...

Id find a 3.4 manual and see what Toyota recommends for a 100k maintenance, but what has 100K? The 3.4 or the pickup?
