Sweet!!! That makes two so far. Don't be scared guys Im not planning on anything crazy unless people want too. I have tons of recovery gear and a winch on my rig. And no one ever gets left behind.

Whereabouts were you planning on meeting up/running?
I was thinking depending where we are all coming from we can meet at the bottom of the mountain, or just meet at the discovery center parking lot. I'm flexible by all means. Any suggestions? I can get a address to the discovery center for anyone that is not familiar with it's location. As far as what I'm thinking of running i haven't set a route down but it won't be any black diamond trails, or even blue for that matter. I will work on a route tonight and post it.

Sweet!! Yes good time to test his locker lol. I got a buddy coming in his fj also.
Meet up at 9:00am. I'm at 91 miles from my current place.

Does any one know if chains full b needed? Debating on if I should run to Walmart and scoop some up. Or if anyone knows a spot I can get them for cheaper the $75.
I wouldn't run out and buy them. Sunday is looking clear in big bear so roads should have minimal ice. You are suppose to carry chains during winter months on montain roads. Myself, I only have some for my wife's 2wd car not my runner.

I just went there. I will post a trip report tomorrow.
If there is no new about then the 4wd trails will probably be icy by next weekend. There was 6-14" of new snow on trails near Green Valley Lake & Big Bear camping and 4WD.
We did 2N54 (fail), 2N06X (made it), 3N93 (made it, never again, wow)

Sweet thanks Brian. And yes should be icy. In my reference to roads I meant paved roads, not dirt roads having minimal ice. Sounds like you had a great time up there.

Any update to this? My cousin and I were planning to head up early for wheeling and catch a half day session at Bear.
