12 Dollar Rebate on Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil

I got my two rebate checks yesterday, as well. I bought two jugs at walmart and a M1 filter at oreilly, so I got a check for $12 and a check for $15. I wasn't sure that combination would work since it wasn't an official option on the mail-in or online form, but I'm glad it did because that's some expensive oil otherwise. I used the online form and submitted once for each rebate. I think it said I would get email confirmation in 3-4 days, but I never did, so I was worried it wouldn't show up.

I have not changed the oil yet, but maybe I will this week.

Hey guys, quick question. How many quarts does the 4th Gen 4.0L V6 take? Asking b/c I just recently purchased it and will be doin a oil change in the next 1k miles and wanna know how much to buy. Thanks!

Thanks for posting, I got mine from Advance Auto and they aren't on the list but I still hope it works. I've bought 12 qts and 2 filters from them in the last month, unfortunately before I saw this thread.

Thanks for the heads up, I just bought 2 jugs. Do you have to enter the rebate twice to get $24 or will they see both on the receipt when Mobil1 processes the rebate?

New rebate up valid on purchases from 3/1 - 5/31. The last two times I've done this I've purchased my oil from Walmart and got the rebate of $24 both times. Almost like buy one get one free, as Walmart's 5 qt is ~$26.

They run it on sale for $10 off a 6 pack several times a yr.

No rebate form to hassle with.

Yeah...I know. Some of you don't like Costco's membership fee. The $$$ I save every year on food and other items more than covers that fee + I get about 80% of their fee back every yr. which I can apply to the forthcoming renewal.

It's a no-brainer.

I'd try the rebate for Costco too. The "hassle" is what you make of it. Why not get an extra $24 off for buying 10 quarts of oil is how I see it.

Interesting. I will have look more carefully when I am in Costco. I have never seen any 0-weight oils in Costco. Just the 10-weights.

While I really enjoy driving the 4Runner. Not so much on that I will risk my life driving on I35 to San Antonio for oil.
Do you realize how many people are moving here? Its getting really annoying. Can hardly get anywhere efficiently anymore and cant wait to retire and leave.

I was pointing out that it's available in SA. Should be in Austin as well.

Yeah...I remember Austin from the late 60s and early 70s. It's since become a mess.

It's not really any cheaper at Costco vs Walmart, definitely not worth a few dollars to drive to one 80 miles away.
