12 Volt Solutions Remote Start

Installed my 12 Volt Solutions Remote start kit today on my 2019 TRd Pro. I gotta say, while the price tag was a little salty ( in my opinion) this is a real quality built kit. Everything from the brain box, to the wrapped wire harnesses, to the step by step online videos they send you. I watched every video twice to make sure I did it right and still had the project done start to finish in just over an hour. I opted for the top of the line kit. So, not only can I start the truck with my factory key fob, I can also do everything with the smart phone app. I can lock and unlock the doors, start the truck, shut off the truck, etc. right from my phone. Super cool, customizable user portal on the app. Also shows battery voltage, temperature, run time, and has real time gps tracking with both map view and satellite view tracking, just in case somebody would steal it. The kit was $599 plus my time. If you know how to use a Phillips head screw driver and you can follow very simple instructions you can install this kit

Does this also shut off the engine as soon as a door is opened as well? Found that one of the worst features of these remote start systems..so counterproductive.

Be wary of this technology I’ve had some neighbors lose their cars one a Maserati truck and the other a Range Rover both captured on video the car thieves using scanners and laptops to start and steal the trucks in under 3 minutes

No, not with this system. Using the phone app the doors automatically lock before it starts. You have to unlock them with your key fob remote, then stick the key in the ignition before attempting to drive off. If you don't stick the key in the ignition it turns off

Did you have to get the stage 2 programming done? I'm still waiting for someone to respond back for scheduling the remote programming. It shows they are backed up since thanksgiving.

Had nothing but problems and electrical gremlins with my 12v solutions remote start. Glad to hear that their kit has improved. FYI that cell module and app are the exact same one I have with the Accessorides remote start unit, and I added it separately

Son's 11' has the oem & he mf every time he gets in his cause it shuts off ! My ol dumbass has to remember to put key in or when put in gear shuts off :clap2:Very happy with my low end Accessorides bottom end model G key only !
