$1200 rear elocker, but this was attached

Picked up an elocker up last week and it came with a 97 Limited bolted to it. It is pretty clean inside except for the usual chewed up driver seat. It has a lift on it, not sure of the type because I haven't really looked it over that good. The transmission acts and sounds like the front pump is toast. Not gonna waste time/money on doing a drain and fill, solenoids, etc...I already bought a known good tranny/t-case for $300 last night, so no biggie there. I'm trying to find some flares to put back on. Engine runs and sounds good. I will probably have around $1800 when all said and done. Too late now, but was this a decent deal or not really? Thanks.

Any way you look at it, it's a great deal. Good platform to build on for $1200 with a locker is fantastic. Great price on the tranny as well. You did good.

Even with a bad transmission I would have a hard time finding issues with a deal like that. Good score!

I think you did pretty good! You'll be in it similar to my last runner. Picked up a 96 ltd with a locker for 750 and a broken weld on the rear control arm. Oddly, no rust at all, just a broken bracket. After buying new seats/carpet, getting the control arm bracket welded, etc. I was in it about 1750 and the truck ran great. 300k miles and clean body. Nice find!

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the flares but there a lot of moulding holes on this bad boy. I was gonna Raptor liner the roof and where the door mouldings were down to the rocker. If I don't put flares on it, chances are Ill have to Raptor liner the whole truck. I may be selling it, so I was trying to keep work to a minimum.

I got the trans, which actually is a 99 with the multimode transfer case, along with a ton of extra parts that I need to sell. I won't be using the tcase on this one because of the wiring differences, but may use it on my 97 dd(j shifter) one day. Not sure if it's worth the hassle. I may just sell the tcase.
