'14 Trail--Rock Sliders Dilemma/Question

As most have said, Shrockworks is great if you're willing to wait. I got the step version of their sliders and love them. There is a design flaw in them. Half of the bolt holes don't have threads in them on the 4R frame. No big deal, they supply handle nuts which slip in a nearby hole and they bolt up easy. From talking with another member there is a huge issue with the 2014+ as they have removed the larger holes in which you pass the handle nuts through. Might be worth contacting them over.

For everyone that is wondering about the height of the ShrockWorks sliders.

Here's a video of my almost 2 year old, 3 foot monkey getting in to the truck. This should give most a perspective on how far up they sit with no lift.

I have an extra set of these step sliders in my garage that I never got around to installing. I ordered the Rocky Road sliders at the same time and actually preferred those. I have been meaning to list the Shrockwork Step Sliders for sale on here - but in the meantime, if anyone in the Houston area wants to buy them I would be willing to sell - and you wouldn't have to wait 3 months to get them. PM if interested.

Picture does not do it justice tho. I had them do the full dimple. It is just enough of a step but not as wide as factory running boards that rub the back of your leg if you step directly onto the ground from the truck. Extra kick out under rear door is nice when securing stuff on the roof.

Great info and pic....thanks for that. So what are OPOR sliders? Is OPOR an acronym for a company name or do dba OPOR?

I like how they look and do double duty as a decent step/platform for loading the roof;-)

Yup, Outpost Off-road. Confusing but you get em thru Metaltech 4x4. Don't know or care about the history of how that is but the Metaltech sliders were more $, more purpose built, and more strength than I desired. OPORs are more of a step, which I wanted. Hope that helps.

Fwiw, I would have purchased shrockworks if it were not for the lead time. But I have come to appreciate that extra rear bump out. Worked out for the best in my case.

I was going to recommend a local fabricator as the concept of sliders isn't really to complex and they shouldn't cost a arm and a leg.
