Hello to everyone,
I have been using this forum to do research since my return from Afghanistan and joined maybe a month ago.
I have owned my 1998 Limited T4R since I bought it in early 98. Had to wait for a couple months for it to arrive ordered to my specs. I have not done one modification until just this january when I returned back from Afghanistan. After much research on longevity of 4runners I decided that instead of buying a new T4R that I would invest in making this one new. Every time I have gone to the lot over the years to purchase a new one I look at the one, after the test drive and going over the vehicle I look back at mine and think dadgum...mine still looks better...and I OWN it!
That being said I have begun the modifications. I started with a Toytec ultimate lift with 600lb front coils bilstein 5150 rears ome 890 coils, then new KMX XD Revolver 18in wheels with 33in BFG AT tires. Decplate mod, Airiad MIT, AFE non-oiled filter, TB spacer, Borla cat back exhaust, removed side steps, just ordered a 99 sport hood and truck goes in tomorrow to be painted matte black with complete interior removal and duramat dual system soundproofing. I have a Shrockworks front, lights and winch and sliders on order they should be in in about a month.
Mods in the near future. Tundra brake mod, Snorkel, front and rear diff breathers hooked up to snorkel, new steering wheel, front leather seats recovered, rear bumper with swing out (still deciding which one to go with), Thule expedition rack with lights. Thats about it for now.
Really looking forward to hanging out on the site and learning some cool new things to do with my T4R.
