16 in wheel pics

I want to see some pics of anyone running 16 in wheels with 7 or 9 wrap LC coils. Thinking of going to 255 or 265. Thanks!

Almost all 3rd gens have 16" wheels. Search for the LC coil pic thread. Here is mine on 7 wraps and 265's. I would go with 285's, but they will require a little modification to stop rubbing at when suspension is fully worked.

I am running 17" wheels and 255-75R17 GY Silent Armour.

3" lift OME

I am running 285's just trying to get back in my power band with the 4.10 stock gears, are you running stock gears? How is it with the 265's? I guess i could go narrower and keep the 17's, tires would be pricey though.

4" up front is just too much lift for this type of setup. Also why is it even necessary? I have 2.5" in the front and 265x75x16 tires which is ~ 31.5" tire.

Most common is the 2.5" - 3" (depending on how fat you are .. JK) in the front && 3.5" in the rear. Add a 1" to 1.5" body lift and you are doing like most of the guys here. 4" with no body lift is ?????

I have read a lot of info on lifting the 3rd gen, that above tread being one of them, I did my research, I know I'm not the first one to have 4" on lift in the front and wheel with it, my reason for 4" front lift was for the fact that I do not like body lift. If you happen to come by my area I'll let you drive it for yourself, to my surprise it's still rides pretty smooth, feels better than stock still.
 
I believe you if you say it rides well but isn't the reason 4" is too high, because it will result in broken CVs?

one of my concern every time I go wheeling, so far so good just torn cv boots but axles are old, about 2 months in and a few trips to prairie city svra.

How do you limit droop? If you have done a 4" suspension lift then you have really biased your riding position near the edge of articulation on the upper ball joint. I assume your suspension can droop further than it can stock, so could damage your UBJ's. The UBJ's in a stock setup are already at an angle, and lifting just makes it worse.
 
16 x 9s on 33 x 12.50s. I love them. I hate when people get 18 or 20 in rims on their runners with mud tires. I guess their bi-curious :)

Not too bad rides better than my brother-in-law 3in spacer lift

UBJ is one of my least concern I'm more worried about LBJ and CV. I dont have anything to limit droop and yes its near the edge of the articulation with about 1 3/4" of down travel left, with whole shock assemble and off vehicle and suspension at full droop, the shock is about 3/16" longer, if i take the 1/4 top plates out it should be fine.

I apologize to OP, feels like I'm tread jacking here.
