I never said any such thing BTW.
I said no leather in ANY car that is under $100,000 is worth a damn anymore so much of it is pleather and lesser quality leather unless you pay out the nose.

and that I prefer cloth seats over leather, any leather, any day.
if you must be an ass at least get it right.

You didn't read the title of this very thread. At least if you did, you wouldn't look stupid posting your 17" FJ wheels and 3" Old Man Emu springs in a 16" wheel/LC spring thread. :ybrick:

Tell you what, I'll go pop on over to the 5th gen section and start posting pics of my 3rd gen in their picture gallery. That would be mighty relevant.

Thanks everyone for all the pics and info, some beautifull rigs! I may just keep my 17's and go to 255's or 265's. I dont want to end up with too much fender gap but I am concerned about wear and tear on front suspension components,weight of the 285's with the 17's and poor fuel economy. Geez! and I want a rear bumper , what to do!

Offroad they are not bad at all, on road the bigger tires deff rob power from the truck

How do you limit droop? If you have done a 4" suspension lift then you have really biased your riding position near the edge of articulation on the upper ball joint. I assume your suspension can droop further than it can stock, so could damage your UBJ's. The UBJ's in a stock setup are already at an angle, and lifting just makes it worse.

Limiting straps. Only way to actually fine tune the front droop. I have done some crazy offroading with 3" front spacer lift and never broke a cv shaft once.

I think the difference between 255/265 is negligible. 285s maybe but again it mostly comes down to your own opinion since you'll be the driver.

Nope, I have mine at 4" and wheel it all the time and never once have broken a cv.

You are right that you have waay less travel when you max out your coilovers at 4"

No need for limiting straps on the front. If you have toytec coilovers they wont droop enough for you do any damage to anything...

Essentially, the more you lift the front the less travel you have both directions... but the nice thing is the more lift you put up front the less likely you are to stuff your front tires...
