16 inches Wheel on Sport Edition?

Hello! New user here!
I was just wondering if 16 inches wheels fit on my '04 Sport Edition SR5 V8 (with 13.3" vented front brakes). Does anybody know that, or has tried it?
It's a big problem finding winter tires for that otherwise lovable 4runner...

not sure if it will fit at all. The best way is to test to see if it does but since u have the large calipers it might not...

I bought a set of 03 16" Tundra take-offs from a local Toyota dealer for my 03 4R Limited. The 16" wheels from my 98 wouldn't clear the calipers.

I dunno. I am wandering if larger tires (275/60-17) will fit?

Just had a call from a dealer' service dept. : they have tried 3 kinds of 16inchers; none of them fits. I assume the front calipers really are too large since they fit just neatly in the 17 inchers. Guess I'm gonna put some 275/60/17 Nokian Hakkapeliitta SUV, as my dealer suggests.
Anybody know what they are worth on ice and snow?
I know that Bridgestone makes a Blizzak that would have fit just right, but I can't seem to find any in Quebec (B/O).
