16" wheels

I'm coming from a 2007 FJ Cruiser (you can check it out on my intro post)...I had 16" AR Teflon Chamber wheels on it with no wheel adapter.

Being new to the 4Runner platform...

Question 1: Is the 5th gen 4R front parts, brakes, rotors, etc... the same as the FJ cruiser?

Question 2: Why wont the right 16" wheels fit? Like factory FJC 16" TRD wheels, etc...

16s won't clear the brakes

x2...won't clear the Brake Calipers.

I get it now...It's not the calipers, well it is, but...It's the overall diameter of the rotor at 13.3", that makes 16's not fit. The FJ had 12.6" rotors.

I know someone w/ a 2005 Limited that grind down his calipers so he can fit the 16" FJ TRD wheels.

He said if he did it all over again, he wouldn't go that route.
