Just got back from the dealer and was told there is nothing that they can do for me at this time.
It actually sounds worse after being at the dealer. It only made the noise every now and again before I dropped it off. Now it makes it with every bump.
From what the service guys said The rear reservoir was installed with the incorrect bracket at the port which it why it is touching the frame. The problem is the correct bracket isn’t in the toyota parts catalog and they said they can’t order since it “doesn’t” exist hence the “there is nothing we can do for you right now”
I called toyota corporate and am supposed to be contacted tomorrow by a case manager.
So frustrating. It’s a brand new car that has 160 miles on it and didn’t develop the noise until after we took it home.
Attached is the pic I took of the service bulletin showing the correct brackets as well as my shock reservoir.
The black tape is the “sound insulating” tape the service guys put on. The problem is it does nothing since where they put the tape doesn’t touch.

Where did you get that pic? I have a 17 Pro and have the same problem and mounts as you. Ever resolve this?
My mounts like like the one that's on the pdf on this link: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/212191-trd-pro-owners-i-have-request-2.html
I have not seen the ones you posted that say "correct".
When I first brought it in and before corporate Toyota got involved the local dealership brought me back to show me the issue and show me the fix they thought they could do and I asked to take a picture of the service bulletin they pulled up on their computer.
So after going back and forth on this with corporate it is still not fixed. based off a conversation I had with corporate last week they consider my case closed. They said you can't order the correct bracket because it is not in their catalog and they may or may not provide those brackets in the future to fix this but since this "installation error" isn't considered anything more than an annoyance there is nothing more that can be done.
I was loud enough that they gave me the extended warranty for free so everything is covered on the car until 125K or 9 years. So if you haven't gone that route yet, be loud, very loud about it.
Honestly the entire process was infuriating since the fix is literally just a inexpensive part that they could get from the port and they will not budge on it.

.... There are enough threads about TRD Pro problems that I’ve concluded that letting people at ‘the port’ screw w an otherwise good vehicle is a bad idea. So tomorrow I cancel my Pro reservation and go look for a TRD Off Road.
A few weeks reading these forums and I wonder why there are so many loyal owners here.
Good idea.
I'm one. Because, as you noted above, this is a damned good vehicle - until owners and port monkeys start screwing around with it - adding suspensions, bumpers, oversized tires, etc etc etc etc. I'll bet 95% of the issues discussed here are self-inflicted..... which is OK, just don't place blame in the wrong place.
If you leave it alone, it's about as reliable as man-made will get.
All the issues in the thread are the result of Toyota (or the people contracted by Toyota) installing the wrong part and not fixing it and acting like nothing is wrong.
If I leave it alone the car makes noise every time the car body shifts which is annoying but it will eventually cause something to fail.
I read this post and this is the first thing that came to mind. If it was me I’d spend the $140 and not worry about someone grinding my frame or dealing with the dealer at all. Even though of course you shouldn’t have to.
