DougR, thank you for the intel. It actually happens every time, no matter how long I have been driving after switching from drive to reverse and then re engaging the break. Course of action:I Googled this problem after reading your initial post again. The symptom your experiencing only happens with foot on brake after 15 minutes of driving when shifting into reverse. This is a rare symptom reported on other vehicle types with after market pads installed. Your vehicle is stock with 7000 miles. It should not have this problem. Has dealer inspected the brakes? Have you demonstrated the issue to the dealer?
1) Moving vehicle forward in drive
2) Stop vehicle completely
3) Keep break pedal engaged while shifting into R
4) Lighten pressure on break pedal to initiate reversing of vehicle
5) More forcefully reengage break pedal to control reverse --> CLUNK/CLANK
This did not occur when I purchased the vehicle. I just had my 1 year service completed yesterday- I'm assuming they inspected the breaks considering my complaint and did not find an issue. I will bring it back (which will be the third time) after your prior comment stating this is not normal.
