17" wheels / tires on stock 1st gen.

Wasn't sure if this was going to work out ... but I found some 17" wheels, probably off a sequoia, with 265/70/17 tires (BFG AT w/ 50% tread) for $120 for the set of 4.

So, now they're on my stock 1987 (complete with saggy butt) and they just fit with no rubbing at max articulation.

They're in the middle of plasti-dip treatment then I'll get some pics up.

Good deal ...yes ... And saggy ... Yes. Although it is actually parked on a rather steep hill, so probably 1/2 as bad on the flat. As soon as the snow goes away and I dare spend an afternoon touching metal parts, some new springs are going on. Then the top is coming off.

Stumbled across them on craigslist while looking for cheap tires for the old 15" rims.
