17" wheels

Hi

I have a 2006 4runner limited with 18" wheels, will these 17" fit my 4runner:

Toyota 17" rims and tires OEM

Just want to be sure before I purchase them. I want to use them for snow in the winter. I know, it's too early to think about winter now but come winter time it's impossible to find wheels.

Yes 17" will fit. You can even get 16" with bigger tire to fit in wheel well without lift.

correct me if I'm wrong, but i heard the 16" wont allow enough clearance for the brakes. Is this the case?

I believe it depends on the model... I could be wrong on this so double check if someone else doesn't chime in, but I think the Sporteditions have larger brakes and some, but not all, Limiteds have larger brakes as well. If you have an SR5 then 16's should clear the brakes.

Sounds right, buddy has a limited and went with 16's for cheaper tired. We had to grind down the caliper to get the rim to fit.
