170 degree Thermostat? 4.7l V8

So i tow my camper around the country fulltime and im about to do longtubes and timing service and i found out also that i should do the thermostat and seal while im in there. I recently started looking up thermostats to add with my timing belt service and discovered these 170 degree thermostats. Would i benefit from these since im towing all around the country and does anyone have any information on these? :hello:

Not really noticeable issues but sometimes towing my 4200 lbs camper over mountain passes it gets a little warmer then normal and wasnt sure if i could benefit from it or not. Not everyone tows 20k miles around the country every year is why i asked.

I don't think a 170* thermostat will make any difference in what temperature the engine runs at when at operating temperature, once the thermostat opens the engine will still get as hot as it did with a 180* thermostat, my V8 runs at about 190ish* at operating temperature, I always monitor my engine and transmission temperature when towing and I have never had it get any hotter even when towing a heavy load, albeit I have never towed a heavy load in very hilly areas or in the mountains.

A thermostat's purpose is to get the engine close too operating temperature faster by restricting water flow mostly to the engine before opening to allow water to go to the radiator since an engine wears faster and is less efficient when cold, it's purpose is not too make the engine run cooler, the engine will run at the same normal operating temperature even without a thermostat installed.
