17x7 vs. 17x8.5 Wheels

Forgot to mention that the two vehicles will look different with same wheel width. Like on a Tacoma, it only needed 7.5 inch width to be flushed with fender whereas the 5th gen 4runner, its not close to flush at all.

I went from LT Nitto G2 tires on the stock SR5 wheels to having the tires mounted up on SCS F5s in 8.5" width. I really like the new wheels. The truck seems a little more nimble as I lost 9.6 lbs per corner going to the F5s, and now my LT tire/combo weight is just under the stock P-tire/combo weight.

I did have to push the fender liner forward an inch and a half. Wider wheels means they're longer corner to corner when viewed from above. So, even though I have stock size tires, I had some pretty bad rubbing. Now, I just have very light rubbing when fully locked in reverse.
