17x9 steelies on Sport model

I have been seeing multiple 4th gens both on Instagram and on the forum with steel D window wheels...When I called 4WheelParts though, they said that I am unable to run them. Does anyone have any idea why I would not be able to run a 17” steelie with correct bolt pattern? Or if I actually can run them on my Sport?

Lug centric vs hub centric wheels. Hub centric are good on our trucks. Lug centric could cause some vibration issues but obviously people run them and haven't had issues. That's about all I know on the matter.

Some rims rub on the larger sport brake calipers. It is dependent on the shape of the back face of the rim. For some reason steelies are more likely to have this problem. I'd test fit before you buy. The problem is usually on the front axle.
