18 year old springs and shocks...toss em?

Just replaced my old suspension on my 97 Limited. Do I just toss my old springs and struts or would other folks buy them?

Unless you get lucky and find that ONE person who needs them desperately....just toss them. I've never sold a set of 97 springs or shocks, and I've seen more than a handful. 99+ tall springs have value, but 18 year old shocks are scrap.

When I replaced the shocks and struts on our 15 year old Ford minivan I just put the old ones on the curb and someone picked em up, don't know if they used them or not though

Recycle them. or put them on the curb a recycler will come by.

I kept mine just in case I wanted to revert back to stock for some reason or another. They don't take up that much space, but if you have no intentions of going back then no need to keep them.

Put em up on craigslist for free. Someone out there will find a use for them, even if it's just to get a core charge back on another purchase they made.

Recently I switched the four springs, which already had 15 years of use
I kept the old, because I have space, would not have thrown away.

So if you put 99 springs/shocks (OEM) on a 97, it will add some lift compared to what was on the 97 stock?

The shocks are utterly useless. It's like trying to sell a set of bald tires, nobody wants them except for the recycler.

I'm currently trying to sell my old springs since they are in good shape with no rust. No takers yet though.

actually if you have old springs you can use them with the tundra 5100s for the front, they will actually be softer than the tundra springs and still give lift for the front
