Yeah theres a 10-20K difference in the ride depending how old your Pro is. I think if there was a huge difference we would of heard it by now from members on this forum and wanting to upgrade to Fox.
It think its a better choice to go with Trail Premium and trick out the suspension with some serious equipment that may give you a little lift too. I own a Pro but only because of the damn limiting color options. The billstein set up I have already looks like crap/ dated (surface rust) but I'll ride it until my needs for a better suspension grants it.

Yeah thats where im at because I like the voo doo blue or calvary blue. Just curious how much difference in the 19 to like a 18 or older. Im not doing anything crazy right now why the pro would be good enough. isn't there a kit though to bing up your stock pro lift up to even stance and adds a little lift?

Ditto. It also has a wider stance, a bit more lift, and some other small improvements (auto lights, LED fogs, etc.) that you can find listed in some other thread.
These guys reviewed both so you can watch both reviews. In the 2019 (V Blue) review, they believe the suspension is a notable upgrade.
I seem to remember someone else that traded in saying there was a noticeable improvement. You can search for other threads.
If you are not planning to do much and have the $, seems like the 2019 is the way to go.

I had a 2016 Pro and got a 2019 Pro about 3 weeks ago. As far as on the road, I would definitely say the ride is more plush on the Fox versus the Bilstein.
The 2019s are marked up like crazy! If you can find one at reasonable price then I think the upgrade is worth it if it DOES ride any better (and if your partial to stock components). From what I have read it is not the suspension like shocks and control arms that cause the vibration issues but its the drive shaft. I am lucky to have close to no shimmy on mine. Its a clunky ride (how I describe it) but thats to be expected since its a "softer" suspension and suppose to handle desert runs at high speeds. On the pavement the ride is lackluster and highway speeds make driving undesirable at times. I take the good with the bad. However, I would never pay what they're asking for the 2019 to have a subwoofer and a sunroof. Sunroof is just another piece of equipment to fail. I have had sunroofs all my life and guess what they were all rusted by the time I got rid of them. I can add a sub for less than 500 bucks.
There are kits to add height and spacer to bring the wheels out to achieve more of an aggressive look and stance. I am not partial to doing that for a look but most are and it does look good though. However, bringing the tires out further slings more dirt onto the side of the car and thats annoying to me. I'd rather add a roof rack or get a retrofit on the headlights first since those things suck on the 4runner lol
Main point... if I touch the suspension its going to be with quality parts and proper thinking so its done once and done right. Test drive a 2019 and update us if you can.
What does plush mean in regards to suspension? Does it feel tighter on the highway? As in less wavy and clunky and the feeling of tighter and firmer adjustments?

Thanks Drillzzz! As far as highway, it's not any tighter, but I would agree with as in less wavy and clunky. I have had a couple people ride with me that have been in both and both felt like the 2019 was a smoother ride. Hopefully that makes some sense.
Makes sense to me knowing what the pre-19 ride is like lol. Thanks for the explanation!

If you have a TRD Pro ,then there’s no point to get a 2019 Pro unless you are really really into voodoo blue. Considering the money you would lose when you trade it in(keep in mind that they increased the price of the 19 Pro by $3500+mark ups).
You could spend that amount of money on King or other high end suspension kits and make yours much better than a 2019 Pro.

I don’t have a 4Runner yet. I love voodoo blue but looking at options. Is king the beat suspension out there? I mean I kinda thought about getting a ORP and make it a pro with adding suspension but didn’t know if I would get the resale value on it over just getting a pro

Pro seems like more of a status symbol than anything else, especially with the crazy mark ups on some of the 2019s (seems to vary by geography).
Seems like TRD ORP is the way to go then upgrade as you like. Unless you need that status or really dig the whole PRO setup. Personally I'm disappointed in voodoo blue but that's obviously just personal taste as some love it. If I didn't need the 7 seats I would do a pre-2019 pro as the special color options I feel like were much stronger choices. The fox seems like a nice upgrade but I have the bilsteins (old pro setup) with the toytec 2 inch lift made for it and love it.

ORP would be the way to go unless you really want a specialty color
OEM Audio makes a tuned sound kit for the 4runner if you desire to spend big bucks on sound. Not buying the Pro will open huge doors to modification with the money saved.

I LOL at those who think a crap JBL sound system and a 90's era sunroof are worth a $3500 upgrade over previous years. Now to each his own when it comes to whether or not you like or want a sunroof, but personally I find them worthless. They fail over time and I never bother to open them 99% of the time. I also prefer to have a full length rack and that negates the usefulness of a sunroof other than to open the slide for extra light.
In regards to the Fox suspension on the 2019's, I have no idea if it is better than the Bilstein stuff, but I know it still won't be anywhere near what an aftermarket kit can offer you which makes the added cost not worth it in relation to what you can get aftermarket for the same and even less money. LED fogs are nice but they won't touch the Baja Designs kits and for $300 I'd rather be rocking those.
At the end of the day it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If you like the new VooDoo blue or if you just have to have a sunroof and you can justify the added expense then more power to you.

Best is a subjective word. I bet some ICON and Fox users would say theirs are the best.
But King does have the least complaints in off road community and their quality is second to none.

If you like Voodoo Blue, get the 2019. If you like Cavalry Blue, get the 2018. If you don't have a preference, get whichever one is cheaper. It literally makes no difference outside of that. As others have said, the sound system and suspension can be changed to be far superior to what is found in the 2019 for the $3.5k MSRP increase and associated dealer markup (another 1-2k maybe?) you'll be paying.
I bought my 2018 at MSRP and there's nothing that makes me wish I had a 2019 when taking into account the increased price.

I really liked the Calvary blue but not a big fan of the voodo (just my taste), however the two 2018s I found that checked all of my boxes were 42k and 43k. I picked up a 2019 in white for less than 46k. All prices are before tax title etc. Between the sunroof, wider stance and 7 miles vs 20,000 I went with the 19. This is my first Toyota (coming from jeep) and the ride is so much smoother. I had a long arm suspension on the Jeep. I don’t know if it would be worth it to upgrade from a 17 or 18 but if you don’t already have one, I think you can find a better deal on a 19 than an 18. I also love my sunroof but like he said, only one opinion matters.
I've seen this elsewhere....is the 19 stance an inch wider? I didn't think it is. Its just still the trd pro wheels offset is an inch wider than the non-pro models.
