1904K9's Build Thread!

duckbutters my homo work supervisor whos hatin' because i got a factory remote, and hes still pacing the isles of junkyards trying to find a rs3000 door ecu so he can get on my level :lmao:

Not sure about the tires. the hancook 31" are like 4 weeks old so ill probably be running the lifted with small tires look for a good while. When they wear out ill but some hancook 33", love the tires tho, quietest offroad tires Ive ever owned.

Did some small additions to my truck this week, nothing tooo exciting. Lift is still a ways from going on unfortunately, but the good news is I sold my factory roof rack cross bars! With the money from those and the running boards I sold two weeks ago, I was able to order my Baja Rack! Stoked!! so that should be coming in within the next few weeks.

Anyways, the tundra and landcruiser springs I bought had a lot of paint chipped off and light surface rust beginning so I cleaned them up and painted them with a flexible rubberized paint (not plastidip, something a lot more durable).

Also made a holster for my maglite in the trunk, fits really snug and doesnt rattle at all.

Also Installed a cobra CB radio from my old truck. tucked all the wiring under the inside running boards. Ran the antenna cable up to the passenger chair, under the carpeting to the shifter console in the center, hid the antenna box/power box under the shifter console between the cup holder and shifter.

Didnt want to drill any holes in my dash for the mic holder so i made a bracket to mount on an existing hole on the passenger kick plate. Mic is still easily accessible but is out of the way.

I hated the oem bulbs that were in the cargo lights and map lights, theyre completely useless when looking for something in your car at night or trying to read something. I orderd some 5K (pure white) LEDs off v-LEDs.com

I didnt order the brightest ones they had because a lot of interior LED conversion lights are overkill and hurt your eyes, I really like the ones I ordered, theyre about 3x brighter that the oems but theyre not too bright. I ordered (2) 3175 HPs (1 for the center cargo light and 1 for the rear cargo light) They were part# 3175_2HP_W_5k and worked but they were a little to long and required some bending of the bulb prongs. Theyre 31mm long, I would suggest ordering part# 3022_2HP_W_5k which are 29mm land should fit perfectly. I also ordered part# 57_5_3C_W_5k which are Ba9 LED bulbs. It comes with 2 bulbs, one for each map light. These fit perfectly

Im not sure why the front and rear look different color temps, they are the same in person. The fronts have a cold tint in the picture but they are neutral white like the back and trunk in "real life" haha

Baja Rack came in today! The look on it is awesome, I love the lines of it and how close it is to the body of the truck. The size is exactly what i needed, 5 foot long and this is considered their "short" rack. I do have a huge complaint with the fitment of the mounting brackets and the "loose" tolerances of these mounts. Im going to write a review of my installation experience with pictures in a separate thread. Anyways, couple strips of weather-stripping and 12 washers later shes all mounted up nice and solid! Next is a couple rearward facing 6" led lightbars for the rack :reddance:

Nice Rack! :naughty: Looks great size wise on the truck. I'm curious to see your write up on the mount problems. I'm looking at building my own rack and mounts are something I have yet to figure out.

By the way I found the panhard bar drop I was telling you about. It was done on Duhockeys truck and doesn't look to hard. I would definitely go this route if I were you! Here is the link.
