1987 4Runner, $1750 in Nashville, TN

Solid mechanicals, details are rough. Less than 100K on BRAND NEW IN THE CRATE factory 22RE long block (4 Cyl.). Tranny (5 spd) professionally rebuilt 3 years ago. Very reliable. Brakes and running gear solid and maintained. Car has 267K miles.
Great starting point for 4X4 project or cheap driver. It has not been modified. No rust (save for slight surface rust on roof where paint faded)
Black paint is faded on roof and hood to gry factory primer. cracked windshiled. AC does not work at idle, works great while driving. Left front turn signal does not work. Cruise control does not work. small tear in driver seat, carpet shows expected wear.
Stuff it has: Black paint with factory stripe kit. Factory chrome wheels. Tires in good shape. Has tow hitch. Factory AM FM, aftermarket CD changer. manual locks, windows. Oil always changed on motor. Newish radiator, and other stufff I can't remember. I've owned this car for 10 years. Just bought Tacoma PreRunner.

Crate 22RE

I got it about 7 years ago or so from a dealership. Cost was in the $3K neighborhood.
Came in a crate from Japan! Don't know if they still offer such a thing.
