Replacing rear springs. On one of them the rubber 'cushion, that sits within the spring has come/broken off. What are these rubber things called and are they easy to find/replace? Guess I should maybe replace both while at it?

I've always heard them called coil spring perches.
Also found this setup on google.
It lets the spring flex with the axel without popping out.

If that is the one at the top of the spring I've had one missing since I bought my 93. Even after lifting I'm still without a top bumper with no ill effects.

:wow:

They are insulators. Ours were in decent shape when I replaced the rear springs with MOOG units. If they are missing, or damaged, you might consider replacing them. They will make a difference on the stance as well as noise/corrosion. The spring is not meant or designed to sit metal on metal. Just replaced all 4 of the insulators on our old BMW and they do make quite a difference.
regards
