1991 rear seats fit 1987 ?

Anyone know if this would work ? usually what years are good to go on a 1987 on all parts ?

Most body parts are interchangable from 1984 through 1989. I would think that all parts are interchangable from 1986 through 1989.

Don't let me discourage you from trying the 91 rear seats. If they fit then that gives me an option to consider for my rear seats. I bought some SR5 seats out of a wreck but haven't had time to install them yet. My rear seat is the deluxe bench and it simply has to go at some point!

Something tells me that they won't just bolt in...but I could be wrong.

You can do what I did. I posted it on yotatech somewhere, but I couldn't find the thread.

I found some nice seats in a 90's model and bought them to try and transplant into the 89 SR5. Now, my 89 had seats, but they were messy and the dogs had spent too much time slobbering on them.

The seats won't fit. They might if you want to start welding, but I am not a welder so I did the easy route.

I basically took apart both seats and transplanted the cushions and covers from the nice new seats and put them on the old seat frames. It was so easy, and it came out looking great.
