1994 Runner jumpy acceleration

before i get going, yes i searched. the google failed me.

Anyway this problem came out of nowhere, went to work driving like a dream. on the way home when i accelerated off the line or into any gear at any speed, it felt "jumpy" and stuttered. much like a tractor sounds, no continuous rumble, very sputtery. and less power (hard to believe the power in a 3.slow can get any lower)

as for diagnosing the problem, plugs, wires and fuel filter have all been replaced in the past 10k miles, so they arent the problem hopefully.

any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. this sucks, when my runner inst happy, im not happy :Cry:

Sounds like misfiring. I would check those spark plugs and wires that you replaced and make sure they are ok. If you replaced them with cheap wires or not ngk plugs (or denso plugs)then that can cause problems within 10k miles. If those are good then fuel pressure test.
