1994 V6 3.0 catalytic converter: comparable years/models?

So about an hour ago I found out my cat got stolen off my 4Runner within a four hour window right in front of my house, no less. This puts me in a bit of a jam for a couple reasons:

Tomorrow is my only day off this week, I'll be leaving straight from work on Friday on a hundred mile trip to do some work out of the county. On top of that I'm in a bit of a financial pickle having just now gotten back to full time work after being mostly unemployed for several months (I get my first check on Friday).

With that out of the way, I'm planning on shopping around at a couple junk yards to see if I can find a cat that I can throw on my truck until insurance pays out or I have the money to get a new one on my own, this leads to the question; what years and models should I hunt for?

As the title says I have a 1994 SR5 V6 3.0, will I be able to pull from Tacos of a similar year? Will 1st Gen cats fit? 3rd Gen? Or were they fairly universal on Toyotas at the time and I could pretty much pull from anything around the same year?

For the short term, screw the cat. Get a chunk of muffler pipe the right size, splice it into the hole in your exhaust with cut-up soda cans and really big hose clamps, and ignore the check engine light. No sense going to the hassle of installing a used cat if you're just going to slap a new one on in the near future anyway.

you may be out of luck finding a cat anyway. The junkyards around here all have a disclaimer that they can't sell their cats due to federal law or something. I noticed they were all missing too. I sold mine online for $120.

As said above... Just repair it with a temporary section of pipe until you can get a new one.
