1995 4runner 3.0

Hey guys, am having another issuse, so my throttle isn't going past 2500 while in gear and I'm confused on why, when I'm in park the RPM's go as high as I want them to. Could it be becuase my timming is off? Or my TPS is out of adjustment? EGR clogged vacuum leak? Transmission sensor? I want check it tomorrow.

Any help is good to lead me into the right area.

I have a 95 4runner 3.0 4WD Auto

I feel like that has to be a transmission failure of some sort. Making the engine bog only in gear is kinda the give away to me. Not enough changes in the ECU between park and drive to make me think it's anything on the engine side.

Could it from the truck mainly just sitting and not really moving?

It never did this before i made it %100 a off-road toy. So I don't know

Did you adjust the kick down cable from your transmission to the throttle body?

No I did not, I didn't know that it could be adjusted? Can you tell me how to adjusted it? Maybe that's the issues I am having?
