1996 manual hub conversion

I seem to be having a fair amount of trouble finding a WARN manual hub conversion for a 96 4runner (base model, 4wd 3rz 4cyl). All the shops around me have books that say 89-95 but there is no 96. Even the WARN site itself doesn't have em?

Will a 95 set work? Am I **** out of luck?

I read this Replacing Toyota AUTO Hubs - ORN and my truck behaves like that. I actually need to stop the vehicle to engage 4wd.

Anyone have a 96 where they've done this conversion?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I spent 200 on the spindle, knuckle, hubs, upper and lower ball joint calipers and rotors from a tacoma from a junk yard. You can find good deals. If you don't mind loosing your abs you can just bot in the entire spindle, hub, knuckle assembly. pretty easy..

If you took your 4runner to a shop and they claimed that your hubs are causing your problems, you need to find a new shop because they have no idea what the doing.

Now on a side note. Why don't you just stop and engage 4wd. Is it really that much of an inconvience? If you do the hub conversion, you will need to stop and get out of the vehicle to lock the hubs and engage the 4wd..

and why do you want the WARN hubs? the AISIN hubs are stronger(dont get me wrong i like WARN, and have a lot of their stuff). the reason you are not finding anything from WARN, is they do not make anything for the 4runner, but they do for the tacoma, and its the same truck from the cab forward. -Tacoma(w/factory man.hubs '95-01, 26 spline, kit number 60459(premium hubs only) -now that took me about 30sec with google to find(found on WARNs web sight)

i would just go with the AISIN hubs personally but hey if you just have to have the WARNs ok
