Hello T4R my friend has a 1996 4 runner it currently has 242,XXX miles on it. Two days ago the upper radiator hose blew and now the runner wont start. We assumed the starter was bad so we went ahead and replaced the starter and the battery. The runner still has the same issue... you turn the key it makes a clicking noise and something under the hood on the passenger side makes a zzzzzzz noise as in its spinning. I've been reading lots of other threads and no one seems to quite have this exact issue. Now I'm thinking ignition switch? The mechanism thats spinning and clicking is in the picture its the piece pictured with the 5 hard lines running into it. We can physically feel it spinning when we turn the key.
