1997 4Runner New Rims and Tires 265/75/16 (pics). What should I do next?

Just bought some new Cragar Soft 8's and Cooper HT's 265/75/16. Daystar 2.5 lift kit has been shipped and its on its way. I wish I could afford some OME 881 and 891 coils, but the new rims/tires set me back so I'll have to wait. Just the new rims and tires make a big difference, a much smoother ride than the stock 15's with 225/70/15 tires. :cheers:

I called them tonight. They wanted more then that, plus I needed tires as well. Did you buy tires local and have them installed?

I went to pepboys for the tires. I paid $490 for the set. I lucked out, they screwed up and sold me the tires for cheap.

Yea...I'm thinking of removing the running boards after seeing other 3rd gen. 4runners without them looks pretty good. I might remove them when I install the lift kit.

Those look great on your ride, and ditto on dumping the running boards. I am looking at getting the Cragar soft 8's to replace my Procomp chromes. They are $66 each for the 16x8, free shipping, from JEGS, then maybe the BFG KM2's in a 285/75/R16 for rubber.

its good, the ride quality is a lot better. no problems yet except a torn cv boot, but i got new ones and a diff drop on the way and it didnt actually tear for about 4 months but it did leak quite a bit of grease. the diff drops not a big deal so just go ahead and get one of those too,
