Probably gonna be a tough one. I haven't dicked with mine on my runner but my 99 Taurus I did. Totally ripped the cluster apart. Took the needles and stuff apart too. Realized they had to be on a certain place on the motor shaft that spins the needle. Theirs tiny little weights in there too. Best bet is to probably start hunting wrecking yards for an entire cluster. I had to too. Could never get it back the way it should have been. GPS said I was going 65. Speedo said over 120 lol the cluster, especially used, shouldn't be over $100 especially if you take it out yourself. Like I said I haven't taken mine out before, but with my Taurus, the entire cluster just snapped into place. No wires or anything.I have a 1997 4runner and I tried to replace the gauge Faces in the instrument cluster but after putting everything back together the speedometer does not work. Any ideas on how to fix this?
