This isn't just a car, it's a friend and companion for all your adventures in life. Toyota's are known for their reliability and the late 90's 4 Runner's are especially reliable. This car is a tank and this generation of 4 runners SUV's are loved by Toyota enthusiasts.
Mechanically, the car is perfect. The timing belt was replaced at 190k miles. I recently had the car inspected at Elite Service Center and they gave it a clean bill of health along with an oil change. The engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, are all in great shape. No worries at all until the next oil change. If you are looking for a well maintained and mechanically sound 4 runner, this is your car.
The car does have some exterior and interior blemishes that are to be expected on a car of this age, but there is no major or unusual damage anywhere. The car still looks good, but expect some scratches and door dings when you view it in person.
The biggest flaws are:
-1 front speaker does not work. (I'd buy a replacement off eBay for $40.00 if I was keeping the car.)
-Tear in driver side leather seat (but I have a sheepskin cover I will include)
-Misc dings and scratches as to be expected on a car this old.
I'm asking $4,400.00. The last time I sold a 4 runner I had a ridiculous amount of calls and emails. I MAY have some flexibility in the price, but lowballers need not apply. There is a reason why 4 runner inventory is low on autotrader. No one wants to sell theirs and when they do sell, they go fast.
If the miles scare you, then you obviously did not notice the 4 runners with 350,000 miles on autotrader. This car will run forever as long as you keep it maintained.
The car is titled in AZ but currently located here in San Diego (UTC -- 92122) as I just moved to the area. The new owner will also receive the title and an AZ bill of sale. You will then have to register the car with the California DMV. I've done this in the past and it's no big deal. Essentially the same as buying a CA car.
Those interested in looking at the car and willing to pay around my asking price of $4,400.00 may contact me below. Chances are if you show up at my door and offer me $4,300 in cash, I won't turn you down, but if you plan to offer me $3,500.00, I will tell you to buy the 350,000 mile 4 runners available on autotrader.
