1998 rear window and rear wiper INOP

Hello, New to the site and new to my 4 runner. 98 Limited blk, blk trim and love it. Only issue is the rear window and rear wiper doesn't work. I took it into the shop for maint. Shop told me no PWR was getting to the switch from the fuse blk, no fuses are blown. The shop also said they hooked up 12V to the downstream side fo the switch to maunally PWR the window and it didn't work as well (possible two problems). Shop said the lobor rate at 75 an hr and the rear window would possibly take quite a while to fix, so I op't to try something else.... Any ideas?? Maybe a electrical schematic to point me in the right direction??
