In other good news, I called to cancel the 7th injector kit today and was told they received the final parts and they will ship today!

I have to say, so far the URD products have been great and the support has been very available... lets just say it is not the way I work (I am in sales) alas I am getting what I need. I may still add meth to help cool things a bit.

I'm a 2wd boy but with the TRD LSD and blower I should make it through some stuff.

My vote is 255/85/16 Km2, should be enough tire for whatever you get in to

Had the truck aligned after I finished the lift and the next day I noticed I had a vibration/deep buzz when letting off the throttle but still applying pressure to the pedal. It also pops up after longer drives every time I let off the gas in that short time where the drivetrain is engaged with the motor, but the motor isn't supplying power. Once the TC releases it coasts fine.

The only thing I can make sense of is my U joints/driveshaft are done. The truck has 225k and they have not been replaced. Anything else to look for? I also plan to have them check the alignment for me again.

Called ToyTech, it's the pinion angle, time to buy adjustable UCA.

I think I will just do the complete adjustable set off eBay for $375 shipped for all five links. Makes me feel better, just need to order those and grab an angle gauge, zero it out on the driveshaft and match the pinion to that.

Well, some better news. Parts arrived!

Almost all the parts, for whatever reason FedEx loaded the third package on an different truck that I still do not have. :bash: Waiting for the boss rear shock, until then I am just using my 5100s.

Everything is very well built, no complaints there at all, had to go buy a 32 mm socket for the SPC control arms. Also installed new OEM inner and outer tie rods. Now lets see if Firestone can get the alignment right. More photos to come.

New parts always look good when they're on the bench, so good that you almost don't wanna install them. Great build!

I know, everything looks so purdy. Thanks, I can't wait for the adjustable rear control arms to arrive, the little throttle/coast buzz is annoying, especially after al the work I did.

I really need to knock out the 7th injector this weekend as Im sick of octane booster and I need to keep the tank low to do the fuel pump.

Also, what is the best method of sourcing a sport hood? Local CL has been a bust for the last six months or so. Just found a truck with a salvage title and sport, going to lowball the guy and see what he says.

I've heard rumor that the roughly same years Rav4 Hood scoop insert will fit in the 3rd gen hood. I think you need a 10mm socket to remove it from the hood. I always check the Wrench-a-part website for their inventory. You have to just search for Toyota and then browse for the specific model.

Well, we just had our daughter three months ago and my wife's 2008 CRV she bought new was getting pretty tired. She has always wanted a Lexus and I have always liked these.

2018 GX460 with most the bells and whistles sans the electronic folding third row. For what it is we love it. Still a BOF truck but not overly huge like a Tahoe. The simple interior is great, mechanic buttons everywhere. V8 has some good oomph, ride is smooth as hell for a BOF and the white on black is pretty sharp.

We considered a 4Runner, but the lack of V8, slightly smaller interior and less luxury didn't resonate. Our local Yota dealer also had no appeal to us. Time is test her offroad.

The Lexus dealership was great to work with and we were there less than 4 hours.

Also, incredibly happy to report that I have fixed the insanely annoying buzz in gear, at idle with AC on. I have done plugs, a supercharger, coils, all vac lines, you name it. Was not improving, the new plugs and coils made it worse....

Finally decided that my ideal adjustment PROBABLY wasn't perfect after the SC install. What do you know, no more buzzing, I am more excited about this than I should be.

After todays commute I can say the idle issue is 92% improved, just need some fine tuning.

Next up I need to take the headers to coated, clean up the bay and better organize lighting. Also installed a TRD LSD and, don't kill me...

I think I will order a pair of 35's. The trucks look nice on big tires and I have the suspension for it. THE SC and mods will push it just fine.... but now I really want to go 4WD....

Any recommendations for a quiet tire?

Well, I did some more thinking. Parked next to some 35s today and it's just not my jam.

I think will run 285/75/16 for less resistance, KO2 seems to be the best for decent traction and a quite ride. Idle is still going wonderfully.

Ended up with a weird nail just outside the tread of one of the rear tires. They are about a year old but were just the cheapest chunky looking tire my buddy could find at discount.

With the lift I wanted a bigger tire, taller and a bit wider. I have a set of K02 in 295/75/16 on the way. Those should look just right for me. I still need to install the rear TRD LSD, TRD headers and possibly add meth. Looking forward to the tires.

Well, tomorrow I head down to pick up the 4wd conversion. Just need to pick up a transfer case and front dif, hubs and axles. Swap has all control, electronic trim pieces.

I said I wouldn’t do it unless it showed up local... Well it did.

If I were starting with a 4wd truck I would have done the r150f 5spd 4wd. That was just too many things to organize. Updates to follow.

Now I will have a reason to fully lock this thing out [emoji23]

Double whammy of good news, Facebook marketplace is a treasure trove of random finds. It's too easy for people not to post. Every damn 4Runner I see for sale with scoop I offer to trade hoods + cash. Never any takers.

Then yesterday...

Guy is selling a green 2000 with front end damage but a clean scoop hood with horrible fade. I offer to trade or buy it, he says he will agree to a trade. I have never swapped two hoods so fast in my entire damn life, this was F1 level speed, haha.

It will actually buff out, but, it will be painted or I may actually wrap the whole truck.
