Maintenance is the main predictor on how long your engine/trans and other parts are going to last. Oh and how much you abuse the truck, and of course if you live in a area that snows a lot it might be a good idea to hose off underneath the truck more often than if you lived somewhere where it dosnt snow. Put a good coat of some rust protector on underneath on the fame, chassis, and suspension parts.
