1999 Toyota 4runner body lift

Where can i find a nice but affordable 2-3 inch body lift? And what size tires would I have to have with that lift?

Look up 4crawler, they have a body lifts for our 4runners and are fairly cheap. Tires would depend on u, u can fit larger ones if u want to cut and hammer...

So I got to the site and found the item I want. The 1997-2000 1.5"-2" body lift kit. But the ordering is confusing to me. I can't figure out how to select what I want to purchase. Any help?

I guess the big questions are...
Why do you want to lift it?
Do you wheel?
Are you just going for a lifted look?
Do you have any or plan on a suspension lift?

Tires. Some brands run bigger than other.
You can run a 265/70-16 (~31") with zero rubbing on stock suspension.
You can run a 265/75-16 (~32") with a minimal amount of rubbing on stock suspension. This is what I run with 3+" of suspension lift. At full flex I rub some.
You can run a 285/75-16 (~33") with a 3" suspension lift and have a fair amount of rubbing. You will do some pounding and trimming for clearance. A lot of people add a 1"-1.5" BL to help.

Body lifts move the fenders up from the frame and thus the fenders are further from the tires at full stuff. This is because the suspension compresses to the bump stops and keeps the tires out of the fenders.

I would deduce that you could run a 285 with a 2-3" BL with the usual rubbing.

Remember that a BL does not increase any suspension travel and will not improve any offroad capabilities except the bumpers will be higher giving you a little better approach and departure angles.

and thats the big problem with that site,

ordering one from Toytec will be a bit less confusing, but I know they dont carry 3" body lifts. think they max out at 2"

Im lifting only for looks. I wont be doing any offroading. So what size tires would be reccommended? And what brand? Im okay with 2"-3" of body lifting.

Order this one: D+FB+SE+RAD the 2" for the 97-2000, 4crawler is quality.

The 265/75-16 should have zero rubbing on road.
The 285/75-16 may rub some on tight turns, especially when hitting a bump.

yeah i see what you mean... he used to have a seperate ordering link for each body lift.... if I were you I would call him and just tell him what you want. 4crawler makes good stuff I have ordered from him before for one of my past 4runners. My order was shipped the next day and I received it 2 days later.

I should mention that most 285s will rub the upper control arm. You can add wheel spacers but they will usually cause more rubbing when turning since the tire is further out and now has a bigger arc.
