1999 vs 2000 and arb brush guard

Anyone know the differences in the 1999 sport and the 2000 sport. Ive got a 99 and my cousin lookin to pick up a 2000.

Is the cheapest price for an arb bull bar in the 700 range? Trying to either find one or am looking to fab one up depending on costs.

I believe the only difference btwn a '99 and '00 Sport/Highlander would be the '00 comes with daytime running lights and you can get it in Millenium Silver, see: http://www.top4runners.com/ja/runhist32000.html

That's the price I've seen on ARB, I think sleeoffroad is currently at 775 right now. Have you considered the TJM instead? I'm thinking of getting a new front bumper myself and right now I'm leaning towards the TJM-17. Looks tough and clean and it's a couple hundred less I think then ARB.

I have looked at the TJM they look the exact same but I may be missing something. I thought the price was right around the same too but I could be way off. What website or company did you find the prices of the TJM guard at?

I will probably end up fabbing one up with my cousin, he made a sweet one for his jeep and will prolly only cost me around 200 bucks.

tjm has the t15 which is the one with hoops and the t17 without hoops

get it from Jason B and its 675 for t15 and 475 or something around that area for the t17

used to have a t13 but its discontinued.

arb does have a facility on the west coast and TJM is on the east coast.

ARB has the prado deluxe (or tacoma depending on how much fender flare you have) and the sahara bar for the prado, takes a little more fabrication ive heard to make it fit, tjm fits easy, but you may have a little more leeway with the arb with bodylift and sliding up and crap

TJM-15 looks similar to the ARB cuz it has the upper bars, but the TJM-17 doesn't have the uppers and is accordingly less expensive. Here's a link to where member Lee installed his, the thread says he got it for $515 from burtman: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?threadid=16223

ive heard some interesting stories about how those seperate wings on the TJM like to bend. my ARB hasnt let me down yet, i got the one for the 2000-04 tacoma, and i have the limited fender flares. the only extra work it took to mount it was to cut off the front frame end caps, then it just slides on, the bumper mounts to the frame via 10 bolts, with room for more if you need it ( i dont and i have a high power winch in there) ive dropped it on rocks and hit cars and trees, slid down a hill into the ground and the bumper still looks like new almost kinda sorta! ive heard that the tjm is easier to install, but that the finish isnt as nice as the ARBs, of course the TJM is cheaper, but not much.

How hard was the install of that snorkel? How much did it run you?

Time to start saving so I can make some mods to my ride.

Kyle and Hmans rig are the best looking trucks with the arb, and or Andy (bamachem with the sahara).

I almost did get the arb but got scared due to the cutting that I didnt know what it entailed.

Go with the arb if you can man!

the snorkel was around 280 from 4x4connection.com, to install the snorkel is really easy, to cut that hole in your fender, not too easy, use lots of tape and know where you want that hole, and be sure of yourself when you decide to drill it
